There are two forms ...

Just in time for summer weather, backyard barbecues and picnics by the pool, the Specialty Coffee Business Unit of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. introduces K-Cup® portion packs that create iced coffee or iced tea at the touch of a button.
The patented Brew Over Ice K-Cups® are specifically designed to brew directly over ice with a Keurig® Single-Cup Brewer. New technology allows each K-Cup to be packed with more coffee or tea —the perfect amount to create a cool, refreshing brew.
New for this summer are Green Mountain Coffee® Nantucket Blend® and French Vanilla Iced Coffee in K-Cups. Both are based on the popular hot versions of their namesakes, but are specially blended to provide full flavor when brewed into a cup of ice.
For iced tea lovers, two new Celestial Seasonings® Perfect Iced Teas are debuting: Half and Half (part black tea, part lemonade) and Southern Sweet Tea. These new K-Cups join the four Perfect Iced Tea varieties introduced last summer: Sweet Lemon Black Tea, Sweet Peach Black Tea, Sweet Raspberry Black Tea, and Black Tea Unsweetened.
According to the NPD Group/CREST®, the number of iced coffee and related beverages Americans consumed away from home rose from 300 million servings in 2001 to 1.2 billion servings in 2009, with iced coffee now representing 16% percent of all of the coffee Americans drink away from home.
“People love iced coffee and teas, and our Brew Over Ice K-Cups make it easy to get a refreshing iced beverage right at home,” said T.J. Whalen, Vice President of Marketing for GMCR’s Specialty Coffee Business Unit. “Traditionally, consumers have thought about their coffee maker as delivering only hot coffee, but now Keurig owners can enjoy an entirely new array of great-tasting cold beverages with their Keurig brewer.”
Brewing a fresh cup of iced coffee or tea on demand is now simple and convenient:

Strata® CIX™1200 VoIP business telephone system brings reliability, IP call center, and, for Columbia Southern University, $110,000 in cost savings. Based in Orange Beach, Ala., Columbia Southern University (CSU) is one of the nation’s first completely online universities and is dedicated to meeting the demand for alternatives to the traditional university experience.
Pam Dickinson, technical support supervisor at CSU, said, “We needed a system that would improve customer service, increase the ease of system management, and give the employees the latest communication tools including Unified Messaging. The system must also be able keep up with the university’s fast growth and help us save costs.”
Curtis Cantrell, CEO of Southeastern Telephone, an Authorized Toshiba Dealer based in Birmingham, Ala., recommended Toshiba’s Strata CIX IP business communication system. Dickinson was already sold on Toshiba as the university had used Toshiba telecom systems since 2004. This installation was a migration from its older Toshiba DK424i system.
Installed by Southeastern Telephone, CSU has a Toshiba VoIP business telephone system that includes a Strata CIX1200 IP business telephone system with 400 ports, two remote fiber cabinets, and 275 Toshiba IP telephones and 150 digital telephones. It also has Toshiba’s Strata Media Application Server (MAS) virtualized to run the Network eManager® on-site/remote management tool, Strata ACD IP contact center solution with more than 200 agents using the Strata Call Manager application in 13 ACD groups, TASKE contact center reporting solution, and Toshiba Unified Messaging.
Using Toshiba’s Network eManager remote administration tool, Dickinson can now manage the entire telephone system from her desk or remotely from her laptop. She can make adds, moves, and changes as the university adds employees and can also troubleshoot issues more effectively since she has more control over the system. She can also change or customize outgoing greetings and greeting schedules quickly and easily. Using Network eManager has eliminated $850 in monthly service fees.
CSU’s IP Contact Center receives more than 20,000 incoming calls every week, and its agents place more than 10,000 outgoing calls weekly. Contact Center calls are processed by 200 agents in 19 ACD groups. With the Strata Call Manager application, agents are able to click-to-dial and utilize Chat and Presence features to communicate with supervisors or other agents. CSU uses Microsoft® Exchange and Outlook®.
Using TASKE Contact solution from TASKE of Ottawa, Canada, an Authorized Toshiba Provider, CSU’s Contact Center supervisors have a full suite of reporting capabilities, including more than 150 different reports on call statistics, agent performance, queues and much more.
With Toshiba Unified Messaging, university personnel can receive all their communications in a single mailbox, including emails, voice messages and faxes. Using Unified Messaging, the university is able to increase efficiency, improve privacy and reduce costs by eliminating fax machines.
Bottom Line: $110,000 Savings the First Year; $10,000 Savings Annually Thereafter
Toshiba’s Strata CIX1200 IP business telephone system has helped CSU meet its goals of improving user experience, moving the Contact Center to IP phones, allowing the university to manage its own system, and reducing communication costs.
CSU’s cost savings include:
$100,000 savings by migrating from an older Toshiba Strata DK424i system, which allowed them to reuse existing station and telephone cards as well as digital telephones;
$10,000 annual savings by performing routine maintenance themselves, eliminating service calls;
First-year total savings of more than $110,000; and
Ongoing annual savings of $10,000 per year.
“Thanks to Toshiba and Southeastern Telephone, we were able to save more than $110,000 the first year, plus we will save at least $10,000 annually ongoing. Even more important to us are the huge improvements in system administration, customer service, user experience, and ability to grow our system,” Dickinson said.

Bottled Water vs. Tap Water Chemicals, contaminants, pollution, price: new reasons to rethink what you drink and beware of bottled water.
Evocative names and labels depicting pastoral scenes have convinced us that the liquid is the purest drink around. “But no one should think that bottled water is better regulated, better protected or safer than tap, ” says Eric Goldstein, co-director or the urban program at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a nonprofit organization devoted to protecting health and the environment.
