Mindful Living Health Expo and AltaMed 5K
Total Corporate Solutions was founded with the idea of helping businesses improve their workflow through the consolidation of key services. However, as an active member of the Los Angeles community, we also strive to give back to its people in a variety of ways. On Saturday, January 31st, we gathered our team to help support our valued business partner, AltaMed Health Care Services, at the Mindful Living Health Expo and 5K Race!
Held at the Los Angeles Coliseum, this free event included free health screenings, holistic wellness sessions, children’s soccer with the LA Galaxy, yoga classes taught by well-known instructors, including former NFL player Keith Mitchell, and a free concert. The event also mobilized 5,000 school children from all over Los Angeles and helped raise over $400,000 dollars towards the continued efforts of AltaMed Health Care Services. The nation’s largest Community Health Center, AltaMed provides vital health care services to over 150,000 patients annually throughout Southern California with services including:
- premier obesity intervention and prevention
- pregnant and parenting teen programs
- primary care
- senior and long term care
- HIV/AIDS case management and primary care
- dental care
- mental health services
- free care for the uninsured (no one at AltaMed is turned away for lack of ability to pay)

In addition to participating in the event, Richard Gomez, CEO at Total Corporate Solutions (pictured above with the team) provided a substantial team donation to help support the efforts of AltaMed. Having come from a similar background, Richard has devoted his career to providing service and support to underprivileged youth communities throughout LA and Orange County including the AltaMed Teen Rescue program.
In addition to our business model, we are proud of our commitment to serve the community as well and will continue to seek avenues of opportunity in the coming months and years to expand our role in this capacity.
